Specialized Architect at Post-graduate School in Architectural and Landscape Heritage. Full Professor in Restoration (ICAR 19) of Cultural Heritage at the University of Naples “Federico II”. Member of ICOMOS Academy since 2009. Vice President of the COPAM (Coopération pour le Patrimoine Architectural Méditerranéen) of ICOMOS from 1987 to 1990. Expert Member of the International Scientific Committees of ICOMOS: Theory and Philosophy of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (TheoPhilos) and Cultural Routes (CIIC). Member of the International Executive Committee/ADCOM of ICOMOS (for the triennia 1999/2002, 2002/2005) and UNESCO Expert for the World Heritage List. She received the National Prize “Capri- San Michele” (Art Section) for the volume Gaetano Genovese e il suo tempo. Author of over one hundred and eighty publications on Conservation, Restoration, Protection, and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage. She was chief Editor of the magazine “Restauro” and Editor of the periodical “ICOMOS Information”. She directed many yards of Architectural Restoration in Italy. Promoter, Scientific Coordinator and Speaker of innumerable National and International Congresses and Symposia (over four hundred) on Conservation, Restoration, Protection and Enhancement of Cultural Heritage, of which she was often also the Editor of Proceedings.
