Expert in Caribbean Fortifications, author of books, articles and essays published in America and Europe. Consultant for international organizations and lecturer in America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Member of ICOMOS Cuba; Expert member of the International Scientific Committee on Cultural Routes (CIIC) and Expert member of the International Scientific Committee on Fortifications and Military Heritage (ICOFORT). Researcher, specialist and professor at the National Center for Conservation, Restoration and Museology of the Ministry of Culture of Cuba. With vast experience in studies of typologies, evolution, conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Hispanic fortifications of the Caribbean. At the same time, she studies the concepts of the Cultural Routes, applying them to the Caribbean region.
