Master degree in environmental sciences from the University of Tokyo in 1995. Member of ICOMOS Since 2010. Consultant (Director of the World Heritage Research Center, PREC Institute Inc. Japan). Done two desk reviews of the WH nominations. Participated in several sessions of the World Heritage Committee, either as part of the Japanese delegation or an observer (participated in the 40th, 41st, 42nd, 43rd, and 44th sessions of the World Heritage Committee as a consultant to the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan). Worked as a consultant in the preparation of eleven World Cultural Heritage nominations of Japan, ten of which have been inscribed on the World Heritage List, including the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range.
